I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.
- John Burroughs

You are invited to join us Tuesday, August 24, when we turn our attention to simple practices that use capacities of our mind and the senses of our body to deal with stress, uphold well-being, and create greater peace of mind.

Mindfulness promotes kindness, concentration, and readiness to learn. When educators practice mindfulness, they share its benefits with their students.

It is refreshing to be among intelligent, compassionate people talking about teaching, while not being judged as a teacher. It is empowering. I need more of these kinds of experiences to nourish my work.
