Marilyn McArthur, Ph.D.
Marilyn earned a Ph.D. in anthropology before turning to a career in teacher professional development. She teaches on topics of social studies and history, and has served as a public historian for the Deerfield Teachers' Center. Merging scientific, historical, and personal interest in health and wellbeing, she is a regular participant in teacher training programs of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, She is also an active member in the Mindfulness in Education Network.
Jacqueline Gens, MFA
Jacqueline is a co-founder of the New England College MFA Program in Poetry where she has been co-director since 2001. For many years she worked at the Naropa Institute and for the late poet Allen Ginsberg studying contemplative poetics at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. She has lectured extensively on the Beats and Buddhist poetry for over a decade. Her chapbook, Primo Pensiero, with a foreword by Anne Waldman, was published in 2008 by Shivastan Press. She is a member of the board of directors for Write Action in Brattleboro, VT and on the advisory board for the Shang Shung Institute of Tibetan Studies in Conway, MA.
Sheila Damkoehler
Sheila has been an art educator for over 20 years and a museum educaor for the last seven. Her philosophy and style makes art and history accessible and engaging people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds and encourages independent continuing exploration.
Angela Burgess Larke
Angela has been a professional educator for eight years. She specializes in arts infusion, technology in the classroom, and social curriculum. Her use of art, storytelling, and hands-on activities make even the most difficult math, reading or history concepts accessible and exciting.
Angela had been knitting and crocheting since age 7. She always has at least two projects going at all times.
Kevin Loughrey
Kevin has taught at Frontier Regional High School and worked in the color industry for many years. He will work in the afterschool program and will teach some the PC workshops. Look for Maintaining your PC using freeware applications.
