About Serious Fun

About Serious Fun!
I have long felt there needs to be a place where you can come to learn something important to you and have fun in the process. With this in mind, I have created Serious Fun! 21st Century Community Learning Center.

At Serious Fun, we know there is more than one way to power up. While we are surrounded by technology everywhere we turn, we are also equipped with an “inner technology” to help us balance the pressures of 21st century life. Using high tech, low tech, and no tech solutions, we will help you power-up for success.

When you see the blue sign at 1 Sugarloaf Street, come on in! Our space is available for rent for your event. Call or email for more information.

Our programs are usually designed for a multigenerational group of participants. Classes are scheduled for mornings, afternoons, afterschool hours, evenings, and weekends. Sometimes a workshop will be created for specific age group because that particular program will work better with that structure. Our groups are small so we can work with all kinds of people and all kinds of learning styles.

For the technology programs, we try not to focus on specific software titles because everyone has either limited resources or a favorite. We are looking more at the types of things that can be done rather than teaching a specific software. There are some classes that teach a specific software. For these classes there is a FREE demo that can be downloaded for training.

We are very proud to announce that we were approved as a Professional Development Provider by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Through our programs, teachers can earn PDPs for license renewal.

You can take any one of the programs we offer or you can suggest a topic, and we will do our best to organize a program or work with you one-on-one. If the timing of any course does not work for you, please contact us to make other arrangements. -- Gaby
